Two standard night drainage connectors are included in every box of urostomy pouches.

Cymed does not have its own brand of night drainage system. The system that we recommend is made by ConvaTec, Product code #27060. Included in this product set is a “night drainage adapter” which works perfectly with Cymed Urostomy Pouches. The adapter has a swivel on it. There is a second swivel where the plastic tubing attaches to the bottle. These swivels allow you to turn over in bed without the tubing becomming twisted.

Do Cymed’s urostomy pouches work with a flush or recessed stoma?

Yes, the urine simply flows over the skin-like MicroSkin and there is no need for convexity. The MicroSkin Plain Barrier or the barrier with a thin hydrocolloid washer are appropriate for a flushed or recessed stoma.

How does Cymed’s urostomy pouch connect to overnight drainage?

Our night drainage connector is a vinyl adaptor tube that pushes on to the end of the pouch and to the overnight drainage bag. A molded connector with a wider diameter providing more leverage for application is also available (87000).

If a cap is hard to open and close, apply some baby oil or vaseline to the cap to make movement easier.
